What happens during the Dental Implant procedure?
During the consultation appointment, we’ll discuss the different sedatives that can be used to make your appointment more comfortable. We will then administer these sedatives before beginning implant surgery. The procedure involves making a small incision through the gums and then placing the titanium rod deep into the bone of the jaw. Once this is done, we’ll place sutures as needed and send you home with aftercare instructions. You will come in routinely for the implant to be checked and once it’s been given time to fuse with the underlying bone, a crown, bridge or brand new denture can be made for the restoration.
